The gambling group Gauselmann announced last Friday that the Bührmann Group will be taken over. At an unknown purchase price, 35 venues and around 60 gastro farms will go to Gauselmann on October 1 of this year. Especially in northern USA, this means a higher presence for Gauselmann. Takeover of the Bührmann Group

The Bührmann company consists of Play Fair Casino GmbH & Co. Kg., A+I GmbH and Gerdes Spielkonzepte GmbH & Co. The family company is not only present in the casino sector, but also in the areas of catering, the events, The cooling logistics and real estate. The area of commercial Gambling will now be taken over by the Gauselmann Group in a few weeks. This means an overriding takeover of the company Bührmann A+I GmbH. In addition, GERDE’s Spielkonzepte GmbH & Co.KG and Play Fair Casinos GmbH & Co. KG are bought by Gauselmann.

Takeover also from Westpiel

After the takeover of four locations of the West Spiel in Dortmund-Hohensyburg, Duisburg, Bad Oeynhausen and Aachen on July 20, the takeover of the Bührmann Group is another expansion of the company. In addition to the four locations, the Gauselmann Group is according to the Agreement also open to the opening of two other venues in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Negotiations on the takeover of the Bührmann Group now end after 2 years with an agreement. Due to the Corona restrictions the negotiations should have been interrupted several times. It was therefore all the more gratifying that “a successful conclusion has been achieved”. According to the board of the games – Dieter Kuhlmann – the locations in Bremen are particularly advantageous:

“The Bremen region is particularly important to us because we had to close many locations there in 2017 due to legal restrictions. With the purchase of the venues and the catering locations, we can at least compensate for some of the previously lost locations. ”

According to Gauselmann, the approximately 200 employees are to be taken over. According to Kuhlmann, an integration team from the company will “ensure the smooth transition to the Merkur family”. The managing director of Bührmann A+I GmbH – Detlev Graß – will also be able to keep his job. He will also work as chairman of the North American Automatic Association.

Help after the flood disaster

The Gauselmann group not only proves economic strength. In recent years, the company has always made the headline with social commitment, for example in a large tree planting campaign and the support of numerous non-profit organizations. Most recently, the gambling group supported affected households affected by the flood disaster. An emergency power unit was provided so that 15 households could be supplied with electricity. In Euskirchen, several families in the Wisskirchen district were without electricity due to the flood disaster. In the crisis, the supply of electricity meant a lot. Accordingly, the people in Wisskirchen were very grateful for the help.

However, the original plan for the emergency power unit was different. It was feared that the Gauselmann subsidiary could also be hit by the flood in Mechernich. That is why two employees were commissioned to provide an emergency unit aggregate for certain and traveled from Espelkamp to the crisis area. After it turned out that the emergency power unit was not needed by the subsidiary, the Gauselmann Group ed the local aid organizations. The emergency power unit was offered to use the people on site who were really affected by the flood disaster. The offer was gratefully accepted.
