The news in the world is currently almost only about the invasion of the Russian troops in Ukraine. The consequences that arise from this are not yet foreseeable but will certainly have far -reaching effects. In the gambling industry there is currently a wave of solidarity with Ukraine. A number of initiatives from the gambling sector donated to the victims of the war in Ukraine. At the same time, the Russian ambassador was banned from a casino in Malta.

Numerous initiatives express solidarity and donations

Worldwide, outrage over the war in Ukraine increases from day to day. At the same time, more and more people are showing their helpfulness. Private individuals, organizations or companies donate funds or collect and send aids. There was also no long hesitation in the area of gambling.

The gambling company Parimatch, founded in Ukraine, announced that it would like to make one million $ available. The money should flow into ammunition, food and medication. The 60,000 $ wants the British gambling group Entain Provide for humanitarian aid. Entain donates the money to Crown Agents. The organization has been working in Ukraine for 25 years and is therefore very familiar with the local conditions. In addition, the “Gaming Industry for Ukraine” initiative was founded by several companies. This has called on a donation collection and would like to collect around 250,000 euros.

Rasmus Sojmark, founder and chairman of the industry medium SB and one of the organizers of the initiative made it clear that the gaming industry was a worldwide family and has an obligation for people in Ukraine. Many organizations would employ people from the country or would have done business there. It is known that the organizer of the Gaming Mass Ice London Clarion Gaming has already donated. The Betsson Group and Microgaming also donated.

Casino maltese deprives Russian ambassador honorary membership

The sanctions have long been aimed not only against Russia, but also against people who support Vladimir Putin. Now the elitist Maltese social club “Casino Maltese” has reacted and Russian ambassador Andrei Lopukhov issued a house ban.

According to media reports, the board of the casino has the ambassador and other members of the Casinos informed about the house ban. He made it clear that this was a reaction to the marching in the Russian troops in Ukraine. Accordingly, the invasion is a violation of international law. Human lives are risked and wiped out.
